You know when you are out driving in your car.. The sun is shining and it is a wonderful day. Or maybe you are stressed and let everything go just to get there.
That is when you maybe get careless.
Do you cut the curves driving?
It feels so good… You got the whole road for yourself… right?
You never know when you meet another vehicle. Are you unlucky you maybe front collide with the meeting car. If you are lucky you get away with the fright because the driver in the other vehicle managed to stop in time, and you are able to turn the wheel and get away..
But have you ever thought of what happens in the other vehicle that just stopped for your sake?
If the people you meet sit in a car one can only hope they used a safety-belt all of them and that they too got away with it only getting frightened. But if not they maybe hurt themselves badly smashing their heads in the dashboard, front window or the stearing wheel..
If it is a bus you meet on the road when you cut the curve it is very likely that those travelling in the bus is standing. When the bus driver then breaks hard all people standing inside the bus will fall. Old people, children and others physically weak people fall even more easily. People sitting in the bus probably got no safety-belt on and they will probably also be tumbled around. The probability for those people to get hurt is great. If they are lucky they will not get hurt, but they could be.
And this goes for when you recklessly cross the streets too. When you do that any vehicle may have to emergency break not to run you down.
So this is what I ask of you…
Do not cut the curves while driving. Stay in your line and do not make any hazardious passings. Others wellbeing and lives may depend on it, and they also got family and friends that will be affected by them getting hurt.
And while I am at it. Please do not walk and bicycle in the dark without wearing a reflector and lights, and do not walk out into the street without giving the drivers a signal you will cross, and MAKE SURE they have stopped BEFORE you cross.
I am a bus driver by profession and I get scared seeing people driving and crossing streets sometimes, it is like you do not care about your own lives. Many just enter the street without looking. Cars need a surtaint time to be able to stop, and busses and trucks need even more time. But if you do not care about your own lives, please at least care about others. Many people are transported, and travelling either by wheel or on foot in traffic, and what you do is important to them.
