I came home a while ago wet like a drowned cat. It is raining outside and I and a friend went walking to Svartevatnet (Black water). It is a lake at Sula, and I found the location in a book I bought. First part was climbing a steep part in the woods along a creek.
And we got some proof of the spring is here : ) After some breath-taking climbing we came to the water.
My plan for the trip was to go all the way to the top to the old “sæter”, but the fog was so thick we decided to just go round the lake. We walked along the waterside and came to a floating man-made island
The hanging lava from the trees is telling it is clear and fresh air here. This kind of lava do not survive in polluted areas.
We walked all round the lake and found a “gapahuk”. A gapahuk is kind of shelter with 3 walls and a roof not bigger than you can sit in it. We had some coffee, sandwiches and fruit.
Another sign of it is spring is all of the frog eggs in the water. There were plenty such balls of eggs in the water.
By the looks of it you may believe we are in the middle of no where? We are actually not that far from civilization.
That is the beauty with living around here. I got the wild next doors.
Taking a last look at the lake before walking down the mountain again. It is rather steep, and today also a bit slippery because it was raining. My friend asked me if I managed alright? – Yes, I answered in good mood.
The second later I landed on my butt! : )
