In Sweden we got a word SNORHALT, I can imagine that word sounds really funny to a Norwegian. To explain: SNOR in Norwegian is same as a line of string, and HALT is like in English halt to stop at once. So maybe sound more like fell on a string for a Norwegian. While if you read it in Swedish SNOR is like like a booger you pick from your nose, and HALT is slippery. So actually when a Swed say SNORHALT they express that it is so slippery like if you stepped in a really big slimey booger and slipped and fell on it.
Oh, do things sound crazy sometimes. :)
