You got asthma, you are diagnosed, what to do with it?
There is only one thing you can do.
Learn to live with it!
That is the hard brutal truth. You need to learn to handle it in a way where you do not get as sick as you would be if you did not know how to handle it.
After 5 years with asthma I have learned to stay clear of allergens and irritants, the importance of taking my medicines, get fresh air, eat and sleep well and just wing it.
That is what you have to do.
Learn to live with it.
It will not leave you!
And you can not leave it!
You now got a companion for life. You may love or hate your companion, but you will never be able to get rid of it.
You can look at it – your asthma – as a fragile person. It need pampering from your side, shelter from all the bad in the world that make it blow up in your face. You will sometimes feel you would like it to blow up, so you get rid of it. Only thing is that if it blows up bad enough, it takes you with it.
Your new best “friend” is the one who decide for you what you are able to do at times, actually always, since if you go against your “friend” it will take you down. You have nothing to say in the matter. It is actually kind of like having a friend that dominate you.
So lets rather call your new friend the enemy, and it is your job to tame it so it becomes your friend. Your enemy strive getting along with you since it only think of itself. It is like with a bad marriage. You do all the work while your hubby sit with his feet up waiting for service. Difference is this hubby you can not kick out!
So just live with it.
I am totally sick of it. But I have only live with it.
