Having asthma cold or cold damp weather can be a problem since it is bad for the air ways. Cold and damp air irritates the airways an can result in breathing difficulties.
Solution to this problem is to warm up the air before it reaches the lungs. You can do this by either use a shawl or other sort of garments, or you can buy a breath-warmer. There are severel types of breath-warmers, the one I am going to show you today is the Jonaset mask. I chose this mask because it is useable with nicer clothes too. It does not look like a protective face mask.
Jonaset comes in two variants. One blue and one white, the blue filter warms more than the white. There is also a sports mask, that one looks like a protective mask.
This one I got today is the light version.
The white filter I hold in my hand should go under the tube scarf over the nose and mouth. The filter is made of metal and the other material is made of skin friendly polyester foam. I did not sense any scent from the filter. The knittet garment is made from cotton or acrylic.
In the back is a string used for tightening and make the mask stay in position over the face. Here is the filter in place under the tube scarf.
With a woolen cap, a scarf and a winter jacket you keep warm.
In Norway you can send an application through your doctor to NAV (social security) and apply for a mask for free. Masks like this is given as an aid to those with ashtma who have problem with bad weather. If you live some other place than Norway call your social security aid central and ask if it is possible for them to help you.
Have a nice day, and stay safe!
