The confederate flag
It is rather common to see greasers (S: raggare, N: rånere) use the confederate flag along with their lifestyle driving motor cycles, american cars, partying, drinking and socializing. When they drive through town you can see them wear such flags as the confederat flag of the US on their clothes and hanging from their cars and so on. Many even got the confederate flag hanging in their club house and in their homes. It is easy to spot when looking at photos online, and I have seen it myself when I have stumbled over people through life. I do not like it and I do not get it.
What I wonder is do they really know what that flag stands for or are they just using it because they think they are supposed to since they are greasers?
What is the confederate states of US?
The confederate states existence from 1861 to 1865. It was seven states in the south of US fighting in the civil war against the Union that was the North. It was originally formed by seven slave states in the Lower South region of the United States whose regional economy was mostly dependent upon agriculture, particularly cotton, and a plantation system of production which in turn largely relied upon slave labor.
What is slavery?
Slavery in America began when the first African slaves were caught like animals and forcefully in iron chains brought in the cargo room of ships to the North American colony of Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619, to aid in the production of such lucrative crops as tobacco and later cotton and such. Slavery was practiced throughout the American colonies in the 17th and 18th centuries, and African-American slaves helped build the economic foundations of the new nation. Helped is rather the wrong word for it, the slaves were forced to work under harsh conditions, slave labour, lived in small badly constructed huts, and the women kept like breeding animals and pleasure girls for their masters so that the white land owner could get free workers to increase their wealth, or they were sold as prostitutes. Violence and rape against the black people was not uncommon. Those who did not work well enough or did not do as they were told were whipped. A slave is an unpaid worker kept in someones hold against their will. The slaves of the America was abducted and forcefully brought to America to work without pay for white people. Children born in slavery by slaves became slaves and their masters property. The general idea was that black people was less worth than whites, a commodity, cheep labour and wealth. History.com
The Union was the north in the civil war lead by Lincoln who wanted a free world with rights for the people, and equal rights for all regardless of nationality, birth and so on. Among other things they wanted slavery gone.
Lincoln formally freed 4 million slaves who chose to fight with him against the confederation and the slavery, they were formally freed when the Emancipation Proclamation took effect on January 1, 1863, but with the Civil War still raging, their future was far from certain. History.com video

So what is your stand in political issues as with slavery and rasism?
At least I can not understand how you can walk with your head held high wearing or using such a flag as the Confederate Rebels flag. Remember what it stands for, namely keeping of slavery and rasism.
Throw your flag out!
