Luftforurensning

Air pollution

So I went to the bathroom again (one actually have to), it was yesterday, this time at the mall. I did not spot it at first because it has the same color as the wall, but thought it was detergent or something I smelled. AMFI pollute the air and are making it unfit for asthmatics. I of course got sick from it, and my medication bag was in the car at work when I took the bus here, all I have is a small inhaler. What happens is inhaling the chemicals from the pump makes the lungs inflamed, cramps and tight and I do not get air. I just hope it will not be as bad as last time. I went to the center office and complained. I need to take medicine often in the coming hours to keep your lungs healthy or it will come back and worsen.

I had to inhale asthma medicine in large quantities long afterwards. Luckily this time around it was on the wall where you wash your hands and not inside the toilet stall so I was exposed shorter time than the last, I think therefore I do not have to be sick for three weeks this time. Nevertheless, this I do not need, I do not benefit from being exposed to such, one must be able to go to the toilet and other places without getting sick. Using such devices is unacceptable.

This is Tork’s product. 😠👎

“e) Recognizing that disability is an evolving concept and that disability results from the interaction between persons with impairments and attitudinal and environmental barriers that hinders their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others,
h) Recognizing also that discrimination against any person on the basis of disability is a violation of the inherent dignity and worth of the human person,
j) Recognizing the need to promote and protect the human rights of all persons with disabilities, including those who require more intensive support,
l) Recognizing the importance of international cooperation for improving the living conditions of persons with disabilities in every country,
n) Recognizing the importance for persons with disabilities of their individual autonomy and independence, including the freedom to make their own choices,” UN.org

Dag 9: Til sjukehuset akutt midt i natta

Låg i sengen og gråt, trøtt sliten, hoste, slim og tung pust. Ringte sjukehuset for å få hjelp. Var der klokken 0320. CRP var 5, ingen bakterieinfeksjon eller virus. Fikk inhalasjon. Syresetning bedre.

Tusen takk kjære deg før at du lytter! ❤❤❤❤

Det får du vite her:

For den svenske loven les her:

Visit with trouble

Open letter

Now it has happened again. I had to go to the toilet, there was crisis and I ran into at the gas station close by. When I come into the toilet I see this fragrance machine hangs on the wall and with asthma, this is a health hazard, one gets lung congestion and difficulty breathing and can not get enough air, but I had to choose at this and do in the pants. Nobody want to do in their pants so I had to go, it is easy to understand, but it sucks to have to choose between go to the bathroom and asthma attacks. Same actually goes for all localities, one should not have to avoid going there and in that sense be locked out.

wp-image-1973377767jpg.jpg

A scent machine on the wall, cause breathing difficulties all day, and more.

For several hours afterwards I had difficulty breathing and had to use a lot of medicine. This is about accessibility, a toilet to the public should all be able to use, it should not be such that only people without disabilities can use the toilet.

You who produce, sell and use these products you support happily that it has been approved by IFRA, the International Fragrance Association, which claims this is fine and not causing allergy or other illnesses. What you must understand is that IFRA is an organization for the perfume industry and they go industry errands, they are not any interest organization for us with asthma and other lung diseases, allergies, mcs, shr and other sensitivities. Whatever they say this is not safe products for us. I am living proof of this and I’m just one of very many. WHO estimates that there are 300 million people with asthma in the world (figures from 2011 so it is certainly many more today) and in Europe it is estimated to be approximately 30 million people with asthma (figures by WHO and Ginasthma and The European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA), then not all other lung diseases and sensitivities are included in the figures, nor mcs and shr and other sensitivities. in Norway counts that around 20-25% of the population, about 1 to 1.2 million people have asthma and allergies. For example stated by The Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association (NAAF) is that about 1,4 million people in Norway get health issues from fragrance (regardless of source), and 0,5% can not participate in the society of that cause.

I notified the station owner to take it down, everyone should be able to use the toilet. No one should have to choose between being sick and going to the toilet, or any other rooms either for that matter. For us with asthma Ventoline is a necessary lifeline and we must medicate with Ventoline 24/7 the whole life, while others do not realize a thing and pollute the air with fragrance substances. Today because of a trip to the toilet at Circle K I got a really bad powerful asthma attack because I had to use the toilet at the Circle K, first it was only little but after 4 minutes it struck out in full bloom and I coughed powerfully, narrowed windpipe in the lungs, wheesing heavily when I TRIED breathing, it was not easy to get air, the eyes were bloodshot, I was out of strength because I had lack of oxygen. There were problems getting the medication into the nebulizer (inhaler in image above) because I was in such a bad shape, I was very sick. Then I had came into the office and colleagues asked lots, they surely did not know what to do, and why I was so ill. It was problem medicating. Eventually I got in me medicine anyway and afterwards I could talk and explain why it was so bad. Blame this time was a scent machine on the wall in the toilet.

Now I urge you who have such on the wall of your premises to take it down in whatever business or place, wherever it is located, if it is in the toilet or other facilities. If the manufacturer has told you that it does not trigger allergies? Then you have been lied to. The scent you spread in the room contains a lot of substances that irritate the airways in the lungs and activates allergic reactions, it makes your customers and visitors will be sick by the visit and it hangs in from a few hours to several days depending on how sensitive the person is being unable to tolerate the. When you have received such a large asthma attack by a visit with you then one is also more sensitive to everything for days afterwards.

I want to make it very clear: It’s not important who is using it, who has installed it, or who delivers to whom, what is the problem is that it is produced and put into use. We are designed to breathe air, not chemical pollution, what is relevant here is that the air becomes unfit to breathe when fragranced.

I would also like inform you that it is an offense to disclose those who do not tolerate it in accordance with the Norwegian Equality and Anti-Discrimination Act § 9.

“LHL say that it must be emphasized that the requirement for universal design in Discrimination and Accessibility Act § 9 also includes measures to prevent exposure to various allergens and irritants, including scented products. LHL also believe that it should be allocated for preventive educational activities so that more people will pay attention to that scented products can inflict injury. LHL urges that:
◾public enterprises and government services adopt perfume-free working environment in the interests of users and employees.
◾privat businesses and employers are doing the same.
◾private persons do take into account sensitive persons by avoiding scented products in situations where you get close to other people.

The United Nations (UN) has adopted accessibility and rights for people with disabilities, including:

For information on Accessibility and Universal Design in the United Nations declarations on disabilities here.

What is a disability?
Lung diseases such as asthma and others, allergies and other sensitivities is a disability, a handicap. How? The definition of a disability is:

According to Norwegian public reports,
NOU 2005: 8 of equality and accessibility. Legal protection against discrimination on grounds of disability. Defined disability as:

“Disability arises when there is a gap between the individual’s capabilities and design or function in an environment / environmental / construction.” Norwegian public reports NOU 2005: 8 of equality and accessibility

Note that it is not stated specifically what is handicap, it says for example not mobility impaired, blind, deaf, etc., it is only indicated how something is a disability, a handicap. The same statement you find in the United Nation (UN) definition of the accessibility act, so it is demanded of all countries.

I have received relevant information about the Accessibility Act of The Norwegian Government at FRP which was one of the parties that responded to my inquiry about the right to fresh air.

Quote

” Discrimination and Accessibility Act “establish the following: § 9 Obligation to ensure general accommodation (universal design) “Public Sector shall work actively and purposefully to promote universal design within the undertaking. The same applies to private business to the general public “Through Discrimination and Accessibility Act give people with disabilities protection against discrimination. I understand that you might not know this, so I will tell you that fragrance products and such fragrance equipment makes 1 of 4 ill. You will probably not your customers, visitors, clients, colleagues, students or friends any harm?

Turn up the ventilation instead and wash frequently with fragrance-free detergents, fragrance free washing, fragrance free hand soap and use otherwise perfume free products, air out and give us fresh air to breathe, then we which are the one of 4 of your customers / attendants could use your services and premises on equally with all others and without having to go from there with lung congestion and difficulty breathing. At worst, it could mean that we end up at the hospital and that we avoid using your business or premises and spend our money and interests somewhere else. There is no pleasant shopping or visit to your localities if one must become sick from the experience inhaling the polluted air, no matter what source of the fragrance. Now I have told you that, and I hope and pray that you listen and do as I ask. I’m tired of not being able to avail myself of your premises.

Update Sunday 4 September 2016

I had to go acute to the hospital.

wp-image-1361109825jpg.jpg

3th day: Sunday now. I have had difficulty breathing since Friday because of the fragrance that was active at the Circle K station, now since Friday I’ve had repeated difficulty breathing and burning sensation from the upper respiratory tract and down into the lungs, my own medicine has not been enough so I had to take to the emergency room at the hospital. CRP was below 5, no bacterial infection or virus. I also have increased medication with Prednisolone now 60 mg and more asthma medicine to get rid of the inflammation that’s been caused on me by the chemical influence of perfume chemicals in the room. When is it that people will understand that perfume is not a harmless cozy thing for the benefit of all? There is no wellness in chemically polluted air.

Why should I have to suffer for your habits? Why should I have to go on such a medicine regime and at the hospital because you perfume?

wp-image-87321595jpg.jpg

Not only that I have to take medication, but it does mean great suffering in everyday life, and to be totally honest one can die of asthma, a severe asthma attack suffocates the person having it.

“4.4 Special warnings and precautions
If the patient must increase the use of β2-agonists with short duration to control asthma symptoms, it indicates a worsening of the disease. Sudden and progressive deterioration of asthma symptoms are potentially life-threatening,” Norwegian Medicines Agency Slv.no

Read about  Asthma kills and Asthma potentially life threatening

What is asthma?

Asthma is a disease in the lung’s airways called bronchi and bronchioles, it is a chronic inflammation of these tiny airways, it is caused by sensitivity or allergy (immunological reactions) and aggravation comes from being exposed either to allergens (substances not tolerated) or irritants (substances irritating the airways), and when this happens the lung airways are constricted of mucus while the muscles surrounding these airways spasms and makes airways very cramped, these two things helps narrow and block the passage for air to pass and one gets trouble breathing. The difference in asthma and COPD is that asthma symptoms occur only at the negative impact of things the persons health can not tolerate, while COPD means difficulty breathing 24/7 and with worsening by irritants, it means that the disease conditions and symptoms of asthma can be avoided by protecting the sick from these substances and situations.

Perfume is one of those things that provoke and trigger asthma attacks – and other lung diseases, allergies and sensitivities. You have to rethink Your use of perfumes where the public go, whether scented products, scent machines, scent marketing, perfume on yourself, in your clothes, hair products, lotions, hand soaps etc.

I’m frankly sick of having to suffer for someone else’s stupidity. 😠

Update Monday, 5 September 2016

Day 4: I had hoped the asthma would get better now after I was in the hospital yesterday, but not, I have mucus build up in the lungs and I am coughing up mucus, full scale of allergic rhinitis as nose runs constantly, very easily irritated lungs, cough, heavy breath and hard to breathe when I walk a longer distance, and I have had to take 60 mg Prednisolone today, and 6-8 doses 2,5 ml 2 mg  / ml Ventoline inhaler to calm the lungs and I’m not done yet, it is several hours before the day is over. All because of one scent machine that spreads perfume in a room. Going to the doctor tomorrow again so I shall take this up with my doctor.

Update Tuesday, 6 September 2016

Day 5: This morning at 0400 I woke up by constriction of the lungs, coughing very powerful and coughed up surely a cup of mucus, coming from the lungs. My allergic Rhinitis lets nose drain unstoppable. I was at my doctor’s office, CRP was below 5 again so therefore there was no bacterial infection or virus. After I got from the doctor today, I met the neighbor outside the house who asked if I was sick? They were awakened by my cough when I coughed up mucus that clogged the bronchioles and bronchi of the lungs to clear the airways to get breath. This was before breakfast, and breakfast was full dose of medicines: 60 mg Prednisolone, 10 mg Singulair, 10 mg Ceterizin, 2 doses of Symbicort Forte 320/9, and a vial Ventoline 2,5 ml 2 mg / ml inhalation. So some fruit. I was to the family doctor and addressed the asthma. I’ve been on 60 mg Prednisolone for three days and the doctor says I have to reduce to 40 mg in the morning because otherwise the adrenal glands may be harmed, one should not go on such a high dose Prednisolone for many days as it is dangerous. Then I have to slowly decrease the dozage down over several days to not get damage by the medicine. I must take inhalation with 2.5 ml 2 mg / ml Ventoline inhaled as soon as I feel the asthma starts to rise again to keep airways free, there will be dosages about 10 to 15 capsules per day, about every hour or more often. The doctor took, as I said CRP that did not show anything, no respiratory infection by bacteria or viruses, this is pure asthma. The doctor said that if we do not prevail against the asthma of yours now then we need to admit you in to the hospital. All this medication also makes sure I get side effects in the form of racing heart beat and trembling of the hands. Now I’m on sick leave to the end of the week, and all this because of the perfumed premises where the public go.

I have a question to the Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association NAAF. You say you will never forbid perfume to ring in public room despite knowing that about 20-25% of the population, ie 1.4 million people in Norway are sensitive to perfumes, and that 0.5% ie 5000 people are so bad hit that they can not participate in society. There are people who are on welfare because they can not participate in society because there is so much perfume chemicals in the air. And you put a NAAF editorialized in FKMI and they go on the same line now. When is it that you will take us that is hard hit by this seriously? Now you have read what has happened to me. Will you ever take responsibility and improve the living conditions of us who have asthma, and other lung diseases, allergies, mcs, shr, and other sensitivities, the group you are put to work for? I am just asking?

This is not an individual case that I have suffered like this, such machines are found everywhere in society, in restrooms, lobbies, entrance halls, hotels, restaurants, in shopping centers, in shops, offices and many other places. When is it that we should get fresh air to breathe?

In non-polluted air I am healthy, in polluted air I am sick, it is straightforward: so what do you plan to do about it? I am in your target group NAAF!

Update Wednesday, 7 September 2016

Day 6: I was set on sick leave by my doctor notified yesterday. I’m the kind of person that I try to carry on and do my best in length but yesterday my body said no. I had recurring breathing difficulties which I had to curb with strong medication, coughing up mucus, was tired and limp, felt weak and sweating. I had to give up and let my body heal, it does not work going to work like this.

Today I woke very early and coughed up mucus, I still have breathing problems and must take medicine. The body has calmed down somewhat when I could be at home in my allergy safe home and rest. Otherwise, I have the same medicine regime as previously except for a slightly lowered dose of Prednisolone to 40 mg which I shall step down to 20 mg after three days. I fell asleep again after 4 hours and slept long. To explain; my breath sounds kind of like an old shoe when walking when I breathe out and in. I have mucus in the lower airways of the lungs and mucus is sticky and difficult to cough up. Having difficulty breathing also affects speech and general condition then you have to have good breathing to talk. Because of asthma I must therefore be home from work.

The time is now 19.30 o’clock on the 6th day with severe asthma and all coughing and difficulty breathing have done that I have a very sore torso, I have pain in the upper body muscles in the chest. The body is overworked. It is so painful to cough that I can hardly do it.

I am healthy in the fresh clean air and sick in polluted air, simple as that. And even if I am at home an asthma attack like this takes time to curb since it is an active inflammation in the bronchi and bronchioles.

 Update Thursday, 8 September 2016

Day 7: I woke up again approximately at 0600 of lung congestion and coughing up mucus, I am still hurting in the chest because of all the coughing so to cough up mucus is difficult. I feel tired and weak in the chest, and it hurts. Medication was this morning as usual 40mg Prednisolone, 10 mg Singulair, 10 mg Ceterizin, 2 doses of Symbicort Forte 320/9 (also for evening every day), one vial of 2.5 ml 2 mg / ml Ventoline. I cough a little less today but remains tight in the lungs and mucus formation. It is tiresome.

Today I experienced falling asleep exhausted on the couch to later be waken up by not getting breath, and when I try to cough up mucus the muscles in the chest are too tired to do the job. I coughed for 20 minutes and took inhalation to finally achieve it.

Otherwise, the day passed in a calm character with film and surf, and medicine, coughing, phlegm, etc. throughout the day. Coughed so I kept on throwing up. Yes, it was that bad.

Update Friday, 9 September 2016

Day 8: It’s Friday, a week after that I was in that room with this fragrance machine. I woke up at 0600 by coughing again and have been awake since, coughing up mucus regularly. I have taken medicine 40 mg Prednisolone, 10 mg Singulair, 10 mg Ceterizin, 2 x Symbicort Forte 320/9, Acetylcysteine Sandoz 200 mg and 2.5 mL 2 mg / ml Ventoline inhalation. I must take all of this before I even get to eat, I can not eat with this ongoing cough and phlegm. Normally I take only 10 mg Singulair, 10 mg Ceterizin, 2 x Symbicort Forte 320/9 in the morning (and 2 in the evening), and I can take it after breakfast. Now I have ugly side effects of the strong Ventoline, I’m shaky to the point on my hands, when I hold my hand up fingers are shaking by tremor.

I was to the store to buy food today, it was the first time I was out in public since Wednesday, September 7th, I had prepared myself properly with medicine before I went but after 10 minutes in the store I got worsening of the asthma again, wheezing, hoarseness, hard thick mucus and began to sweat as a result of it. Fragrance is in the store too. Asthma is tiring for the body and a stress factor.

I’m tired, I’m fed up, but it is maybe hopefully on right path now, yes except for deterioration today. I’m much better than I was last Saturday, but now it’s harder to breathe again, I’m not fully recovered yet and still more sensitive than usual. An already irritated lungs react more and easier on everything my lungs can not tolerate (like for everyone else with this issue).

Update Saturday, 10th September 2016

Day 9: To the hospital emergency room in the middle of the night

wp-image-1028926182jpg.jpg

Lay in bed and crying, sleepy and tired, cough, phlegm, difficulty breathing and wheezing. Called the hospital for help. Was there at 0320 at night. CRP was 5, no bacterial infection or virus. Got inhalation. Oxygen level better. Nursing Sister was wonderfully kind and thoughtful, I am so tired and stressed by all this that I started to cry like a waterfall at the hospital, and nursing sister was so kind and stroked my arm and my shoulder and comforted me. Home again at 0450. Did not sleep this night.

Now it’s a little beyond the day and I have a little burning in the airways, breathing difficulties are right now small because of the medicine, but I still need to use the strong Ventoline 2.5 ml 2 mg / ml solution for inhalation with nebulizer to thrive. When medication decreases in effect, as will cough grow back, and I cough up phlegm, and besides that I feel a burning sensation in the lungs, and it is the tipping point for whether it goes wrong or not. Just a little needed to tipping it over the wrong way. It’s hard to explain to someone who has not experienced it themselves, but it feels much like; Imagine that you have a fire you will ignite, there is a little flare and it is either to burn or die out, and that’s just the way it is now that the smallest can make the asthma worsen, so I have to take medicine to not be hurt worse. Normally I manage myself using a regular inhaler to take away small problems and have good breath with PEF 500, but not now because of this perfume. And even cooking food can be a worsening problem since it gives away cookery fumes, but one have to eat. Heavy medication and sick leave.

Update Sunday, 11 September 2016

Day 10: Woke up this morning with very much lung congestion and constriction, to explain what it sounded like; almost like a car having starting problems, the dense raspy sound when the car does not get air and the feeling is as if the lungs were filled with insulating material. I have gotten worsening again. The drugs I have does not do the job good enough so I have to go to the doctor again tomorrow.

You have to understand that asthma is not like a light headache you can just take a pill for and everything will be over. The inflammation that are in the lungs of allergens and irritants caused by content ones health can not tolerate stick for several days. It is an inflammation of the lung airways and as known inflammation takes long time to go away. So please show consideration!

Update Monday, 12 September 2016

Day 11: I went to my doctor and was ordained stronger and more medicine plus lung x-ray at the hospital. I told my doctor that the medicine I get at the hospital works better so now I take Atrovent 2.0 ml 0.25 mg / ml to be mixed with my Ventoline 2.5 ml of 2 mg / ml and inhaled – and lungs are X-rayed.

wp-image-1319216976jpg.jpg

In addition he said, “-NO WORK THIS WEEK!” and put me on sick leave to the end of the week.

Something positive I spotted at the hospital was this:

wp-image-185772870jpg.jpg

It is wonderful to find that ones hospital is tuff. Note says;

“Hello!!
Do you believe the cigarett butt (you throw away) removes itself???!!! SMOKE FREE!!!”

I can only applaud them. 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

Update Tuesday, September 13 2016

Day 12: This night I have actually been able to sleep the whole night through, finally! I woke up at 0700. I believe it is the new medicine. I am still coughing and it is coming mucus when I cough but the new medicine helps a lot.

Today’s medicine doses: 20 mg Prednisolone, 10 mg Singulair, 10 mg Ceterizin, 2 x Symbicort Forte 320/9 (also in the evening), Acetylcystein Sandoz 200 mg, 2,5 ml 2 mg / ml Ventoline mixed with Atrovent 2,0 ml 0,25 mg / ml inhalation every 4th – 5th hour, and in addition the Ventoline when needed, and this I will have to take from now on, til I get symtom free.

Though I have a serious voice issue. One need air to be able to talk okay, and having an asthma attack one is also affected on the voice. Since I still have breathing issues even though I have new medicine, my voice is affected. This video was recorded today right before taking a new dose of medicine after 5 hours. The video is subtitled in English, if it does appear directly, please press the subtitle card at the lower right corner of the video. Learn more about asthma, constricted airways and the voice here:

Update Wednesday, 14 September 2016

Day 13: I have been able to scale down a bit on Ventoline, I think it is thanks to the new Atrovent that I have received, it got a longer duration. The asthma cools off but  I am not well yet (eg. Symtom free when asthma is chronic).

I have not slept well last night, the increased drug dosage has given me the side effects of dry mouth, I woke up several times a night and been dry as a desert in the mouth and have had to get up to eat and drink something to stop it.

I must increase Symbicort Forte 320/9 to 3 x 2 doses a day, it is the preventive medicine.

The voice is still not good, but I cough not as much and bad anymore, at least not as long as I take medicine. But man am I blue under my eyes, this has been a hart time.

Maybe it goes right way now?

Update Thursday, 15 September 2016

Day 14: I still takes the same medicines, but I took an extra dose of Atrovent + Ventoline last night (ie a total of 5 doses instead of 4), and it seems as if it works. This morning when I woke up coughing I only coughed more easy but I was very dry in the mouth because of the side effects of the medicine. Though, when medication decreases in strength after a few hours when I get a burning experience in the lungs and harder to breathe, to explain how the burning sensation feels like; it is as if I have throat burn in the lungs. The burning sensation decreases in strength when I take medicine. I get in between doses of medication heavy breathing, and when I was at the store today it was bad, and my voice bar not and it was difficult to talk. Tonight I have “throat burn” in the lungs, not so hard time to breathe, I have just taken more medicine. But it seems as if the medication is doing its job when I slowly being better than I was, so I’ll take a extra dose this night as well. 5 times a day is really more than the doctor said I should take, but 4 is too little, to help myself so I take 5. The extra dose I take at night because otherwise there will be too many hours without inhalation during the night. I’m going to the doctor tomorrow again. I am not well yet.

Update Friday, 16 September 2016

Day 15: Today I was at the doctor, he listened to the lungs, it was done spirometry, and I will be remitted to a specialist. I am still very sensitive in my asthma for slightest impact. Because of that it is dangerous to go too long on Prednisone it is now removed from my medicines. I continue as usual with the other medicines. I am on sick leave ’til 26.9.

Update Saturday, 17 September 2016

Day 16: I woke up at 0600 and took all pills and Symbicort Forte 320/9 medication, and then and fell asleep again.

wp-image-1970470985jpg.jpg

Woke with heavy breathing and had to take inhalation. Before this happened, I have normally been able to just take some Symbicort Forte 320/9 and my asthma and allergy pills in the morning, now I have to use heavy emergency medicine before breakfast. I’m starting to worry that I  maybe have gotten a chronic deterioration by the chemical substances were sprayed into the air, wilI I have to have it like this in the future?

Update Monday, 19 September 2016

Day 18: I did not update yesterday, it has not happened much. I’ll still take Ventoline + Atrovent in addition to the usual dose of asthma and allergy medicines, because if I do not then I get easily deterioration. As long as I take medicine so it works. Though, I’m still very easily affected by irritants and allergens in the air, much more than before, so the doctor has decided that I should stay home until it has stabilized. Like this I have not had it before this happened, I was very sensitive, but it’s worse now. I was  also remitted by my doctor to a lung specialist in town, they called from lung specialist today, I have gotten an appointment on Friday.

If I have gotten permanent injury, whom should I report and sue? I can not let this go unnoticed. It is not okay it being like this in society, and what if I have gotten an injury that lower my ability to work? I can not help thinking of this.

Update Friday, 23 September 2016

Day 22: Today I went to the lung specialist as my GP Remitted me and it was a rewarding meeting in several ways. Firstly I got to do more breathing tests than I have ever done before, in fact, more thoroughly than it was done by the lung clinic when I was there a few years ago. In total the new lung clinic did 3 different breathing tests, spirometry and two others: one for normal calm breathing where I also should hold my breath for 7 seconds and then breathe again, and another test that simulated stair climbing with heavy breathing and full constriction (machine simulated breathing stopped and me had to breathe against it). Then I met the doctor who turned out to be the same doctor who remitted me to The Occupational Injury Department at Trondheim Hospital about 2008/2009, fun he was know from before.

Much chatting about asthma and what happened to me on September 2, which was why I was sent to him. Since I blogged last Monday the 19th of September, my breathing improved considerably and I have been able to cut out the inhalation of the strong Ventoline and Atrovent on a regular basis, now it’s only once in between i use it. Breathing tests I did showed that I have regained breathability. It sits on about 95% of 100% now, and it’s good, and I hope it gets even better. It should probably work if I stay away from everything, and that means all situations which means contact with what my health can not tolerate, and that means even people using fragrance and fragrance products. Now I take only my regular medication Symbicort Forte 320/9, Singulair, Ceterizin and a small dash with the regular inhaler, as I did before I got sick the September 2nd. Since Friday, I have only used the strong medicines 2-3 times, which is a major advance.

We also came to talk the doctor and I about Symbicort Forte, he said it contains a long time preventive working kind of Ventoline which is one of the components of Symbicort Forte. This was news to me. I also read earlier at Medicines Agency about Ventoline that if you have to take too much of Ventoline when the body can get used to the medication and then lose the effect.  I found that when I also take a large dose of Symbicort Forte containing a kind of long-acting Ventoline plus had to take such large quantities of the strong inhalation aerosol Ventoline, so had the body certainly had been given too much and cut out the effect of it, and that’s why I had to get Atrovent. Atrovent has helped me a lot. Thanks to Atrovent I’ve got track of it, and I could cut down on the amount Ventoline. Now I struggle no more with side effects. Asthma and the medical profession is more complicated than you think. Today I have just taken one single dose of Ventoline + Atrovent. If it continue as good as now the next few days then I’ll work on Tuesday. :)

What is fragrance?

Learn from Professor Anne Steinemann at Melbourne University (click the link for more info about her). It is easy to believe that the rules are better in Europe and Scandinavia, but the fact is that the industry is not required to tell you the contents of the hidden word perfume. This you find here:

I want a prohibition

I want it to be prohibited perfuming indoor air, and that it should be forbidden to wash with perfumed cleaning products and the use of spray bottles to clean where the public have access and else go. I am aming at that a ban would only strengthen the rights of us with asthma and other lung diseases, allergies, mcs, shr and other sensitivities. According to Universal Design and Accessibility Act § 9, and the UN declaration of Accessibility and Universal Design, it is already forbidden to use so that a prohibition in practice on scented products will only strengthen the laws already in place. It’s a hassle having to fight alone and opt for equality and availability to the Equality and Availability ombudsman every time there is such hinder as fragrance polluted air, so that we will not have to fight a daily battle, it should be availability also for us and we should not have to become sick.

Also read:

“Known health risks – It is already known that there is a link between the use of cleaning sprays and increased risk of asthma.” (in Norwegian)
For this article I can add my own experience: I used JIF spray cleaning products in my work as a cleaner from 2005 -2007 and it adds up and become a lot in 8 hours full time use. I was healthy and had no asthma when I started in the job and after two years I had developed asthma. I read so the safety data sheets for JIF manufactured and sold by LiIleborg AS, and there stood that it contains substances that can trigger allergies, so Lilleborg AS is lying in the article, they know very well that it is not harmless. This information is not given in the store, you have to find it in the product safety data sheets, and this is most likely true for most products. There were other things that were aerosol also that we used and so were there people who smoked too (I’ve never been smoking it was passive smoke). It was too much for my health. So dear ones who read, do think and care about yours and others health, I can sign that when you become sick in asthma then it is something that persist for life, and you will be sensitive to very much. So dear, take this seriously. And I refer you again to Husbanken.no information developed in cooperation with NAAF (in Norwegian).

And why do I share now this personal information? Because I want you to understand the seriousness.

In fresh air, I am healthy, and in polluted air I am ill, it is so really simple.

Fragrancing of the air is a violation of the law.

There is a Swedish law act against discrimination on disability in Sweden too;

Lack of accessibility is a form of discrimination. As of January 1, 2015 introduced a lack of accessibility as a new form of discrimination in the Discrimination Act. Lack of accessibility means that a person with a disability is disadvantaged by not having taken reasonable measures for accessibility to the person in question will be in a comparable situation to people without such disabilities.
The word disability replaced with “decreased function ability” in the discrimination Act, the Equality Ombudsman, the Education Act and the Act on the employment and hiring of workers.

What is universal design, accessibility and reasonable measures?

Sweden and the EU, together with 160 other countries have ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This commitment means that states are responsible for implementing universal design, accessibility and reasonable measures.

The application of universal design means that all new products, services, environments and applications designed to be used by all the greatest extent possible without the need for adaptation or specialized design. When developing new products, services, environments and programs target all people.

The point is that we as users have different functional capabilities and characteristics. In this way, we create a society where everyone can participate equally. Producers, authorities and companies can also achieve far more. Accessibility as a group is an entitlement. To create complete accessibility is an unconditional obligation of States to gradually remove existing obstacles in buildings, transportation, information and communications, including information technology and products and services aimed at the general public. Costs should not be an argument against this, the State has the responsibility to ensure protection against discrimination” HSO.se

Fungerer det alltid på ren vilje? – Does pure will always work?

(Scroll down for English)

Ta astma for eksempel.

Is it always enough with sheer determination?

It is often one hears about people with disabilities who manages the most amazing things on sheer willpower, they do not give up, and conducts. It is inspiring and shows both courage and determination to master. An example of these is Jessica Cox. She has no arms and learned how to fly a airplane.

People who have disabilities and show all they can is a source of inspiration for both the disabled and fully functioning human beings, and they truly deserve it. But the backside of the coin is that those who can not do such things are in a way a little looked down upon or felt sorry for. Yes not all and not always, but if you do not show the attitude when you are usually seen as negative. But is this true?

Take for example asthma. Many struggle with pollution in the air from perfume, scented candles and ordinary candles, incense, fragrance and strong smelling hairspray, body spray, fragrance deodorants, so called air-freshener whether it is scent blocks, manual or equipment that pumps out scent on timers etc., tobacco, fragrance detergents, fabric softeners, cleaning agents, etc. In a society where doing things on sheer will, overcoming issues and success doing so is seen as heroic, makes also a climate where if you say it does not go then you become somewhat looked down upon or seen as negative.

Asthma is recognized as a handicap by the WHO, EFA, and LDO, when it is a physical illness that creates obstacles and hinders in everyday life. Many people who have disabilities can overcome their handicap on sheer will, but does this go with asthma?

I very much admire ladies like Jessica Cox and everyone else with her who manage to overcome their handicap and do things anyway, just like everyone else does. At the same time I get a little sad and conscious of my own handicap as I can not be blamed for it and that I can not rule over it.

A person who has asthma (or other sensitivities that responds to the same conditions) that go into a room where it is used fragrance marketing, s.c. air-freshener, perfume on people and clothing, fragrance hair sprays, body sprays, fragrance deodorants, scented candles, incense, strong detergents and perfumed cleaners, etc. may enter and reside in a room where all this is the sheer determination? No, it is not possible, not even with medication, at least not those of this group who have sensitivity to these substances in the air. Some are not even helped by medicine. Yes some have more sensitivity than others, others have  less, but common is that one can not get in a room where it is impure air. To remain in this environment of pure will like other disabled people can overcome their handicap is not possible for many people with asthma and allergies, it does not matter how much you want to, it doesn’t work.

It’s not about will, I can stand outside and would like be with, it’s not about positivity or negativity, I could go and certainly I can go because my legs works and it is entirely possible to get in, but if I do then I become so sick of air pollution in the room that I have to get out right away. It has nothing to do with negativity, nor have it anything to do with medicine to take because I have all the medicine for my asthma I need, it’s just not enough. I shows that it actually is not enough to have the will, that it is not enough to want to and just do, because I want to a lot but there is no help in it, the lungs do not care the least what I want, the lungs they do what they want regardless of what I want or would like to  participate. The medicine only helps to keep me healthy as long as I avoid the substances that is not air.

Therefore, it is important that you help so that the air is clean and free from these substances, because then I and all others with the same disability can be everywhere!

I and You only need clean air.

ps This is probably true for all other allergies as well, I guess that after what other allergy sufferers have told me, so do not meet those who are allergic with “- Take your medicine!” or “- I do as I like!” because then you are to make people hurt. And such behavior is seen as very negative by those who are allergic.

Astma suger – Asthma sucks

(Scroll down for English)

Astma suger

Asthma sucks

Asthma sucks, not only it makes it hard to breathe when it strikes, it makes a barrier to other people due to allergens and irritants they use, it makes a hindering to enter premises due to allergens and irritants used in the surroundings, it makes it hard to find a dear due to allergens and irritants people use, and when one get a airway infection it gets even worse.

This time I was unfortunate to get bronchitis and bronchiolitis caused by a virus infection at the same time and of course it made my asthma go bunkers as well, so yes, asthma sucks.

Both bronchitis, bronchiolitis and asthma is located in the bronchi of the lungs and this time it hit me hard. I am so thankful for medicines and I am working on getting well so I can go back to work as soon as possible.

@TodayShow what NOT to do at the #loo – #IndoorAir #Health #AirSafety #Asthma #AirFreshener #TodayShow #Media

This is a story about how ignorant people do their absolute best to mess up the lives of others. When you have read this I hope you know and do better in the future.

 Image of a bathroom.

Screenprint of Today Show headline. “How to clear the air after using the bathroom.”

Responsible for others health

Today I read an article at Today Show and I was horrified to read their advice on how to avoid the embarrassing feeling of “certain air you’ve left behind”.

Today show (and unfortunately other media too) communicates the destruction of your health.

Today Show only gave two good advice in the whole article. As follows:

“First and foremost, reduce odors by flushing the toilet as soon as you can. The quicker the flush, the less the odor. A “courtesy flush” is not only courteous, it’s smart.

Ventilate! Open a window or turn on the exhaust fan. Most bathrooms have exhaust fans above the toilet. Just make sure you’ve turned on the fan and not the heater portion of the fixture. Leave it running even after you leave the bathroom.” Today Show

I would have added make the sit on the toilet as short as possible, the longer you sit the greater the possibility for the odor to spread, and put the lid down before flushing to keep it all in the toilet.

What they say after this is what endanger people’s health and lives.

Then Today Show follows up with saying:

“Unfortunately, toilets don’t come with built-in air fresheners.” Today Show

I am happy every time I enter a WC without built-in air polluters since it in reality pollute the air to the point that I can not even enter the toilet to do what I need. In worse case if I have actually managed to enter before that chemical machine burst out it’s bomb I have to run out when it does. Actually I have to always be aware and check the room before I even enter because such fragrance machines send me to the ER for asthma treatment because the contents coming out of it makes me suffocate due to asthma attacks.

There are worse things than poo odor. Such so called Air Fresheners are actually hazardous chemicals. Open a window or accept that’s the way nature is.

It is way better to clean the WC room fragrance free, and a little more often. In the end it is cleaning that keeps the toilet clean, not fragrance.

Today Show  then follows up with saying even more health damaging tips.

“Fragrant hand lotion: Apply it liberally to your hands then wave your hands in the air. Some people go so far as to squirt a bit of lotion into the commode.” Today Show

This is enough to give allergy and asthma symtoms in a person entering after you.

“Hair spray: The heavier the fragrance, the better when it comes to this emergency air freshener. Again, a puff in the air and one in the toilet works wonders.” Today Show

This is enough to send any asthma sick person entering after you to the ER. NOT recommended.

“Perfume/cologne: If you’re lucky enough to have a small vial of perfume with you, your troubles are over. One sprinkle and odors are gone.” Today Show

This is enough to send any asthma sick person entering after you to the ER. NOT recommended.

“Spray bathroom cleaner” Today Show

This is enough to send any asthma sick person entering after you to the ER. NOT recommended.

“Cleanser” Today Show

This is enough to send any asthma sick person entering after you to the ER. NOT recommended.

“Bleach” Today Show

This is enough to send any asthma sick person entering after you to the ER. NOT recommended.

“White vinegar” and
“Baking soda” Today Show

This is often recommended as a more natural choice but combined in the same cocktail it produces a gas that is irritating the airways in the lungs.

“Liquid hand soap” and
“Shampoo/Conditioner” Today Show

Those go under the same as above-mentioned. This is enough to give allergy and asthma symtoms in a person entering after you. Depending on the grade of severity of the asthma, it can give all from minor issues to send the person in to life threatening asthma attacks.

Are you aware that there are 300 million people having asthma in the world (WHO 2011)? expected to be 400 million people in some years (WHO). In Europe there are 30 million people having asthma (Efanet.org), and in the US 25,5 million people (2010) have asthma  (adults 18.7 million, children 6,8 million, fig 2010).

Figures from 2010 shows that in the US those made 14.2 million visits to the physician office (2010) and 1.8 million emergency visits to the ER (2010), 439.000 hospitalized (2010), 3630 deaths from asthma (2013).

Polluting of air increase the health risk of those having asthma. But it do not stop there, the same goes for those allergic (can be life threatening), other lung diseases (can be life threatening, other kinds of sensitivity like for example hyperactivity, hypersensitivity to chemicals and so on.

By sharing such stupid tips you spread and increase the endagering of people’s health.

Batteridrevne lys – Battery-powered candles

(Scroll down for English)

Videnskap.dk

God luft inne.

Clean air and cozy with candles

If you have sensitive airways it is rather often you have to avoid things in life, but in recent time it have been produced battery-powered candles in many different kinds. Therefor you can have that cozy time and fresh air at the same time.

When you burn regular candles og scented candles many health and environmental hazardous chemicals are delivered to the air for example chromium, musk xylene, carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) heavy metals, nanoparticles, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) sodium o potassium salts and more. Candles made of paraffin produce even more particles than pure stearin candles. In a laboratory study with blue-colored paraffin candles is elevated levels of metals such as copper, cobalt, lead and zinc and more measured in the air.

When burning candles a portion of the stearic burn incompletely and form soot particles in the air. Some (but not exclusively these) of the candles emitting harmful substances to indoor air are stearin candles, paraffin candles, scented candles, glimmer candles, gel candles, candles with printed decoration, soya candles, bee wax or palm candles and such. Everything is burnt do emit substances into the air.

“If you burn candles for two hours a day, they account for almost two thirds of the total indoor pollution.” Videnskap.dk

Candles can provide the same indoor air pollution that moderate smoking indoors and at least equivalent contribution one can get from outdoor air pollution. It is therefore important to avoid burning candles indoors. Every time you blow out a light, released 350,000 soot particles – it is as much as from a cigarette! When candle burning, part of stearin burn incompletely. This partially combusted carbonaceous material will form soot particles in the air. These particles consist of a complex mixture of substances, from clean coal to complex organic compounds. More candles in a room with poor ventilation can cause respiratory irritation, asthma symptoms, dizziness and headache. While stearin is a renewable raw material, paraffin is a fossil raw materials that emit harmful greenhouse gases and emit more soot particles. Paraffin is also more flammable. Studies show that we, if we had not used paraffin candles, would have reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 21,000 cars from the roads. Scented candles are worst fumes for asthma and allergy sufferers, they spread substances to air that are allergenic, irritating to the airways and trigger asthma attacks. These candles smell good but do not do your body any service. A survey by the University of Copenhagen, based on 78 people in 58 homes in Copenhagen shows that the use of burning candles can be dangerous: The researchers observed reduced lung function and signs of inflammation in the lungs of people in homes where there are many particles of candlelight. According to consultant Kåre Refvem, who specializes in lung diseases and internal medicine, there is no doubt that the soot particles they inhale from candlelight affects the lungs. There are some people who react to such soot particles, there is a reaction when exposed to polluted air: The mucus membranes becomes irritated, forming more mucus and there be an inflammatory process in the bronchi. In practice, over time, the frequent use of candles and other candles including aggravate a condition of COPD or asthma, and some remain even home from social events, to avoid all the lights.

Children are sensitive and got more sensitive airways than adults whether they have asthma, allergies or other diseases that give them sensitive airways or not. Children who grow have a faster breathing than adults have and draws in more air more frequently than adults. Both children and adults with respiratory problems and allergies have a better health if you avoid burning candles.

The lights in the video in this blog post I bought at Jernia store, they run on two AA batteries and they can be lid using a remote control. You or your child (if you have children) can therefore sit comfy and safely in sofa and light the lights from a distance and they are completely fragrance-free and soot free, and you can be assured that it does not begin to burn in tablecloths and curtains.

Fresh air indoors.

Segregation by air pollution ‪#‎tryggluft‬ ‪#‎astmaallergi‬ ‪#‎astma‬ ‪#‎helse‬ ‪#‎parfyme‬‪#‎røyking‬

In English

In my thoughts right now:
It doesn’t matter how nice a person is, that my lungs doesn’t care about at all, it is what you spread around you in the air that decide if it is possible to be social with you.

Be smoke free and fragrance free or I need a 3-4 meter distance to you, and if it is many of you wearing and using it it is not possible at all to be around you.

You see it is not that I am not social, it is your smoking and fragrance products that force me to avoid you.

Open letter to Norwegian Food Safety Authority

Food safety, air safety, delivery and cleaning

Today when I woke up and had my breakfast I remembered a thing that happened when I went shopping last summer, that in the next made me remember when I again was subjected to such an event just like this one. I have asthma and get breathing issues from chemicals as very many others.  That time at Christmas time I went  shopping potatoes at Kiwi and had a bad experience getting an asthma attack from a floor cleaning machine spreading its fumes around the store. The store stank from heavy chemicals and my asthma attack was acute from the content of these fumes. They were cleaning in opening hours and the food was not covered. Continue reading

Addiction or brainwash?

Addiction or brainwash?

I just read The Addictive Power of Toxic Perfumes and Cologne where the writer tells about an episode where a woman sprayed perfume in a shop despite he told her his wife who was there get sick from it, and he talks about the woman being selfish and addictive to fragrance.

“Several years ago my wife and I were visiting a town in the mountains of western Maine. We were looking at a few books on the rack in the town’s historic pharmacy. Just across the aisle was a perfume display with a large row of testers. As we were looking at the books, another couple walked by us and I heard the woman suddenly exclaim, “Oh! There’s my favorite perfume – I think I will have some.” Since she was standing right next to my wife who has Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), my wife instantly responded, “Please don’t spray that, I am highly allergic and it will make me sick.” The woman looked at my wife and then looked at the bottle. A second later the bottle was in her hand and she gave herself a strong dose of perfume and then walked in front of my wife leaving a cloud of fumes behind her. To say the least, I was angry. How could someone be so selfish?” Health Impact News

Further they say:

“My wife has been struggling to avoid being exposed to perfume, cologne, and the fragrances of laundry products and air fresheners for over fifteen years. Because of her Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), my wife and I have asked many people to please not use perfume or cologne when they know that they will be spending time with us. Whether it is in our home, in a church meeting, or other type of gathering, the answer we receive to such requests is almost always “NO.” People usually get quite offended when such a request is made. Sometimes people will say they will honor the request, but then they often forget to keep their promise. Sometimes we have made gentle reminders to encourage them to help us, but it is amazingly difficult for perfume addicted people to stop using perfume or cologne when they start their day or to avoid reapplying perfume later in the day. Even greater hostility may be evoked when a request is made to please consider using unscented laundry detergent or to stop using dryer sheets, which are some of the most toxic fragrance products. Even if we tell people that our suggestions will make them healthier and save money, they still have no interest in hearing what we have to say about the toxic qualities of fragrance products.

It is quite fascinating to watch the power of addiction. People may have great compassion for homeless cats and dogs, may be very supportive of all kinds of community charity projects, and may be loving parents and grandparents, however, when it comes to the effect of fragrance products on the health of other people, they seem to have very little compassion. They might give you the shirt off their back, but don’t get between them and their perfume or dryer sheets. It really is no different from any other addiction. Cigarettes, alcohol, and sugar all exercise the same power to control behavior and to repel anyone who might dare to interfere with their being satisfied by their drug of choice, which in this case is fragrance.A person who is addicted, whether it is to alcohol, drugs, food, pornography, or perfume, will not allow anyone else’s need to interfere with their need to keep using a certain substance. This may not be conscious, since most perfume users probably don’t suspect that they are addicted. In their mind, they just love perfume and cologne, and they can’t imagine how other people could dislike what they love or even be made sick by what makes them feel good.” Health Impact News

And

“In addition to the physically addictive aspects of fragrances, they are also emotionally addictive. This is due to the olfactory pathway in the brain through which sensations of smell enter the subconscious part of the brain.” Health Impact News

“The marketing of perfumes, cologne, aftershave, and other scented body care products is based on sex and the power to control others. In other words, people are subtly promised that they will be more sexually attractive or sexually desirable. It is further suggested that people can be invincible and they can get whatever they want — that is — if they wear a certain fragrance. Health Impact News

About the pheromones and the promises of sex. We are like the animals and we are attracted to the right person through among other things the natural scent of the other person, both men and women. But if I were you I would refrain from both fragrance and essential oils (more about that in the video below) and only shower in fragrance free personal hygiene products and use a fragrance free deodorant. Humans are constructed like the animals, we produce pheromones that is a boost regarded to sex, and hiding it will have negative consequences. (source Dr Akilah El)

Fresh-Air-For-All-fragrance-illness

I urge you to read  The Addictive Power of Toxic Perfumes and Cologne before you read on.

I do not think for a minute it’s addictive to use perfume and I do not believe that it is the reason why the woman sprayed perfume defiance that she was told not to do so due to his wife’s sensitivity. It is more about personality and this woman simply did not care. It’s her way to meet others, she got no knowledge of it and she’s short-minded, selfish and cares only of her.

A person having asthma reacts to allergens and irritants in the air as low as 0,02 PPM.

Fresh-Air-For-All-and-no-obstruction

I used perfumes before I was asthmatic in 2007, not as extensively but it was in all my products, in everything from laundry products, cleaning to personal care products, deodorant, makeup and styling, and a slight spray on the neck. It was not so I had to spray me every day because I “had to have my fix” of scent, I used it sometimes and let it be for long periods of time. I did not get withdrawal because I did not get my spray of scent or scented products. I used what I was brought up to use, and what was available to style myself after what was fashionable at the time. I did not ask questions to if this was ok, or if it did hurt anyone since no one told me it was bad, hold bad content or in any way the society told me it was bad. But back then I would probably have had a hard time understanding how it could affect someone and in what way it could be harmful since I had not lived it myself. The old saying “- You need to walk a mile in someone’s shoes to fully understand…” is very true. It’s more that people are trained that fragrance is as it should be, that is what is ok and accepted and that everyone accepts it WHATEVER HAPPENS! It is a form of brainwashing of and by society that everything that does not smell anything or smells bad is to be dirty. It is common in advertisement to be told “The smell of clean…” when talking about fragrance washing and cleaning, and “The fragrance of a house is part of the decor.” when talking about interior design. It’s brainwashing, aka training of the whole society that things must smell fragrance to be clean and bling-bling. But fresh clean air what does it smell? Clean water what does it smell? I smell NOTHING! Fresh and clean air and water does not smell flowers before you add a flower or fragrance to it. If you stand on a mountain top and there are no flowers around it won’t smell other than fresh air, and it smell nothing, just air!

That people use fragrance is because they are trained to do so by society, history, marketing and attitudes, they enjoy it almost as some like the taste of chocolate or a good dinner, and enjoying something one gladly uses it again. If it is hurting you, you will not try it again.

In the article it says

“Fragrances are Emotionally Addictive” Health Impact News

Maybe it can be in a way addictive that people feel pleasure when they feel a scent they like, just as they feel pleasure when the eat things they like, but it will not make them addictive in that sense of the word. Take for example what people eat. People allergic to food also get the same treatment as us who are allergic, asthmatic and have other lung diseases, or MCS and get sick from fragrance use. People invite to dinner and then forget, do not care, or it is cultural reasons to why the menu at the dinner is not altered so the sensitive person can take part and eat the dinner without getting sick. One good example is Chistmas dinner, when people expect one kind of food and it makes them into selfish bastards that do not care about health and they do not care to change the content of the food so a family member or a friend do not get sick from the dinner. These people are not addictive to Christmas dinner, they are just following the tradition and they are not willing to change it to suit someones health because then it is not traditional Christmas food anymore. Using other ingredients changes the taste of the food and therefore they think the Christmas feel is damaged. Ergo they skip caring instead. (read Merry Christmas shut out)

It is the same way with fragrance. They use it because they like the feeling they get from it, and they make it their own personal mark, a bit of themselves, the fragrance becomes a part of them, and when you complaint that someone should not smell they take it personal because they feel you complaint about how they smell. They are uneducated about the problematic issues with fragrances, and they are brainwashed it is ok all over the society. How can anyone complaint about something that is fully accepted in society? they are in their believes.

Ergo they use it anyway.

Fresh-Air-For-All-shut-out-lonely

For us the “flavors it hurts” with perfume, just like the food hurts the food allergic, for the others non sensitive it’s a good. They can not for a second understand that some might be sick from it, and therefore they fail to accept that others may become ill, and therefore they do not believe them in it is for real and important. They also have a superstition on medication that; “Take a pill and everything will be all right!” It have been said before many times and as long as society have that way of thinking it will never be alright since medicine for asthma and allergy is only constructed to take away peaks of illness not to make you immune to the things your body can not tolerate.  Only way to not get sick is to refrain from being exposed.

Fresh-Air-For-All-MedicineMyth

It was not before I got sick in asthma myself that I fully understood what harm it can do to the health. Now I do not use fragrance products at all, I had no withdrawal and not problem stop using it since I now got the inside knowledge and understanding of what harm it does. Actually, when I stopped using it I felt better than I have ever done before. It was not only the asthma and the breathing issues that went away. All those chemicals is a burden to the body. The body is not constructed to handle all this burden, it is constructed to breathe, eat, feel, and do its needs. I realized that all those chemicals made a strain to my body, I could literally feel when the body stopped having to work to handle all the stuff I put my body through using all the fragrance products. I felt freed. My only regret is that why had no one told me about this before?

Fresh-Air-For-All-the-fragrance-fre-please

People, you must only take our word for it and listen. You do not want to get this illness that is asthma, allergy and sensitivity to understand what it is about. It is actually pretty awful to have, I promise you that it s nothing you want, not being able to breathe without being at risk of getting sick from others use of fragrance.

Fresh-Air-For-All-fragrance-free-everyone-can-join

You just have to respect what you are told about it. You just have to be fragrance free, and actually it is not being dirty even if you are told so. Fresh air does not smell of perfume, it smell of nothing, and it is lovely. Haven’t you ever stood outside a spring, summer’s, fall or a winter’s day and inhaled the fresh air and felt it is lovely? That is exactly what we want to do. Inhale fresh air without getting sick.

To fight a gnu battle…

Sometimes trying to win a argument with a less enlightened is useless.

It is kind of like when you try to tell a person that fragrance is harmfull to human health. Some will never believe you before they get sick themselves. It will then become important to them too.

Sympathetic smoker 2

He blew the smoke sky high

Today when I came from the store in my lunch break I met a man walking and smoking. When he saw me he literally turned his head away the other way and blew the smoke sky high the opposite way of me.

It is the very first time this have ever happened as I have experienced. Ok, the street was not smoke free, I felt it, but I would have felt it even more if he had not made the smoke go another direction.

Thank you!

Smoking in the bus

(Scroll down for English)

Continue reading

The point being nice

Today, this very morning, I saw a picture at Facebook I just stopped at. It was so good and described very nicely and direct something I actually have experienced myself. People’s judgemental ways and lack of understanding.

image
Pic source: HealingWell.com Facebook

I NEVER REFUSE to help a customer, either they are in such a hurry they can not wait for their turn and I can only be one place at the time, or it is a matter of security, or I didn’t hear them since I got a hearing handicap. And as I said I am maybe occupied helping someone else.

In some occasions I maybe have a hard time hearing or even breathing.

What have I experienced?

I have experienced among other things

People sitting behind me mumbling something expecting I will hear them and be able to converse in the crowd and the noise, or they stand with the back to me mumbling, or they run past me in a hurry saying something impossible to hear. Really people, STOP! If you are talking to people please show some decency and talk with people to their face. If you do not it is actually YOUR fault if the communication fail. I have experienced being yelled at for things that is out of my hands.

And other experiences I have had is regarding when people come in after smoking blowing their smoke in one’s face, or wearing so much fragrance products one have to open a window, turn away from people to not get it straight in the lungs to avoid choking on it. Doing that one is perceived impolite and you get accused for being less customer friendly. Yelled at. But what is it that is actually happening? I am just as friendly as always, I say Hello and greet the customer and I smile as much as I can, still one is met with harsh unfriendly insensitive treatment. I try to avoid getting sick. Avoid getting sick from your habits and likes. And if I have to take too much medicine in a day (more than allowed) to manage, that too is a strain on the body with racing heart among other things. No wonder it might show in my face even if I try not to reveal it. I could just tell the customer it is his or hers habits of smoking and using fragrance products that is the problem, but then I would be accused for being rude as well. It is not seen kind upon telling people they and their smoke and fragrance products make me sick. So I keep quiet, try to endure, and do the best I can to hide I get sick from tobacco and fragrance a.s. But as with everything it is inevitable it shows, and honestly who would not be affected by less breathing ability?

I do want to do a good job, but really people, sometimes you give me a hard day.

It would be so nice if you could be understanding, understand that what is maybe showing in my face it is not about you. It is not personal. It is rather about that I am a person like anyone else with my own pains. Maybe you got a hurting back, shoulder, migraine or other personal issues that affect your life. For me it is asthma.

When I see a person have a day not being 100% I say something nice to make that persons day better. It doesn’t help being harsh and unkind.

One have a choice in life. One can choose between being nice or being unfriendly.

I choose to say something to ease the life of the person I meet, then I see the smile reach all the way to the next customer. You can do that too. You can choose to be friendly, instead of selfish and unkind.

Another step in being friendly is stop polluting the air we all shall breathe. We share the air and I do not want your fragrance, vaping and smoke.

You choose.

If you stop polluting the air, you better my life.

If I get fresh non-polluted air I am healthy, and then the pain won’t show in my face. And you get a wider smile.

Asthma plus a cold

Since I have not had asthma all my life I am blessed with before and after knowledge.

I remember when I had a cold before asthma, it was not always a easy thing but man I wouldn’t have complained one moment if I knew what those having asthma go through.

Well, now I have the after knowledge too. I know now what it is like to have a cold and asthma.

I have always hated taking medicine,  it is a nag and a bother. But since 2007 I have been forced to take medicine due  to having asthma,  I do not like the feeling suffocating on my own lungs. What does this have anything to do with having a cold then? Asthma is a disease of the airways to begin with so everyone having asthma have a underlying airway issue, and then we all get that cold on top of it all.

You know when you feel your nose is clogged and you cough and think you have a fever, such times a person having asthma got it at least 5 times worse.

So, do I say this to complain and feel sorry for myself? No, I have become friends with the thought many years ago, but I sometimes think back on the days when I was asthma free and how easy all who have only a cold have it. If you only knew how lucky you are.

Be happy for the small nose spray, headache pill to bring your fever down, cough medicine and your paper to clean your nose with.

image

It could actually be worse.

And when you smoke and fragrance around us in addition, yes what can I say?

Please, don’t.

Ruined

Today I felt a bit tired and worn down and needed to charge my batteries so I went to our very cozy local café Frøken Fryd and had a sallad for lunch.

image

I was really enjoying myself feeling much better and was planning a coffee and cake for dessert.

In comes this woman reeking from fragrance. It did not take long before my lungs tighten and I got trouble breathing.  So I had to leave and have the cake to go. Now I am sitting at work with medicine in our dull lunch area.

image

I so felt like turning around and tell her my mind, to tell her about it all. That with her reeking she ruined my nice café visit. But if I would have done so she would have accused me for being rude and ruining her café visit.

But really it was she who ruined mine.

It doesn’t matter if it is fragrance, aftershave, hairspray or any other reeking products, less is more and fragrance free is splendid.

Please, think before you reek.

The luxury of having an opinion

Often when you express yourself about smoking, fragrance and other pollution many people have strong opinions.

When it comes to smoke bans and strikt smoke bans in the form of laws and legislation many smokers have strong opinions meaning they are being bullied for being smokers and wanting to smoke. That they feel limited in their lives.

Having the luxury to have a mere opinion us who have lung disease do not have, for us it is about life necessity.

We can not choose to have one or another opinion, it does not matter what we think about smoking ourselves,  our lungs get sick from it and it affects our very quality of life.

We maybe one by one not want a smoke ban out of opinions, we need it out of necessity.  We can not be convinced it is a bad idea banning smoke, since it is not only a matter of opinion.  It is not like with many people who just do not like it or just do not want it, we can not choose if we want it or not, we do not have that luxury only having a opinion.

It is the same with fragrance. Lot of fragrance may smell nice, just as we might perceive smoke smelling badly, but the reality is that it does not matter what we think of the smell. We do not have that luxury. Our lungs decide for us, and the lungs do not care what we think.

When we say no to smoking, praise smoke bans that you are against, and claim the need of scent bans it is not because we have a mere opinion you can make us change. We do not have the luxury of being able to change. We can not be influenced by your opinions to change our ways. That you can do. You have that luxury.

I feel lucky, and symptom free

A improved life

Since some time ago I can finally feel happiness, I feel well, feel free to have a good day, being almost symptom free, and the best thing of all is I have had a good day for months. I have gone from having a PEF 250 (that is half lung ability to Breathe normally) in 2006 -2007 to almost having no symptoms at all toady in 2014. It have been  7 years of struggle finding out what Works, adjusting medicines, Learning what to avoid and adjusting my life to my asthma. The later is actually the sad part, having to skip doing stuff I used to be able to do.

So what have I done to make a better life for myself?

  1.  Cleared the home, my car and my camping trailer for Products containing fragrance and color
  2. Thrown out all fabric carpets.
  3. I bought a sofa I can dust.
  4. A clean kind of minimlalistic style at home.
  5. Avoid all situations where People are smoking and wearing perfume, and where using fragrance Products.
  6. Changed work Place and gotten my work Place adjusted to me.
  7. Adjusting my medicines and even got stronger medicines.

I work full time, I am  not sick or on sick leave more than anyone else – actually not much at all, and all of this together make my day so much better. Of course I have my problems to deal With in life like anyone else from time to time, but when it comes to my Health regarding asthma I have a much better life. And what was really important to make this possible was that my work Place is cleaned fragrance free. It made a hugh difference. Also I work in a area where there are not so many Bling customers. They are most of the Down to Earth People not bathing in fragrance and such before they leave home. Got to love them!

If there is a sad thing in all this, it would be the limitation it have to put on myself to keep it like this. I have to stay away from surroundings where fragrance is. It can put a limitation on whom to visit, where to go and somtimes where to travel.

Important to know is the biggest myth about asthma to know. Many believe that medicine fix all problems and one can do whatever one want. Asthma medicine do not mean you can take medicine and do whatever you want regardless. You have to stay away from what make you sick and take your medicine.

But I try to do what I can do

I do travel, I do visit People (if the environment allows it), I do work, I can do a lot of things only not things involving contact with inhaling fragrance products. I am well as long as the air is good, but it only take the pollution to get symptomes again. Sick I will be forever, all my life, that will never change. But in a non polluted environment I can have a good life.

So much more I could do if there were less of those Products in the world.  Then I could do everything!

Fresh air without fragrance pollution. I love it!

#Smoking is anti-social – #Røyking er anti-sosialt

(Scroll Down for English)

Smoking is anti-social

It is a myth that smoking is social, that one meet people, smoke and talk. I say smoking is very anti-social because it hinders a large group of people from talking with you who smoke. I have many times had to just walk past a person I know because they smoke. It is not because I am a snob, don’t like the person, or do not like smoke, but because it hurts my health. My lungs don’t care at all if I want or need to talk to someone. There are many nice and good talks that never occur because of smoke.

And I am not alone experiencing this anti-social effect from smoking. A friend of mine experience trouble with this at his work place. People smoking outside the doors and at regions where he must work, and people claim the have the right to smoke. The right to pollute is greater for some than the right to be healthy.

To request freedom from perfume among the people …

(Scroll Down for English)  I wonder if those had served food to those who have food allergies, or if it would be rude to ask for food you can tolerate?

Å be om parfymefrihet blandt mennesker…

To request freedom from perfume among the people …

If someone asks a person to be fragrance they are likely to hurt their feelings and they take it as an offense. Those People are taking it personally. And too many do not understand that perfume can make others sick, and incidentally in length also themselves. It is not the one who is sick of something that should endure for others to use something. This is only whistles to keep civility alive, it is seen as rude to ask someone not to use it. If it is a guest that comes when there are only even more sensitive, and you are really frowned upon if you require freedom from scent. But it is far more unpleasant by the scented person, guest or fellow human beings in general, people in professional positions to make others sick. I wonder if those had served Food you get sick from to those who have food allergies, or if it would be rude to ask for food you can tolerate?

Sick from scented products – Annelie

I had a small article in the Allers Magazine, a woman Magazine. Please, scroll Down for English translation.

image

Many become sick from scented products and fragrance.

Sick by fragrance and scent

“I am a bus driver and I get sick from all kinds of use of fragrance and scented Products, and Chemicals. If someone comes in the bus using fragrance or aftershave I have to open all doors and Windows to air it out, and then take medicines.  If the odor is strong enough it happens I can not help the customer. Someone says “It is only to change line of occupation!” but it actually have not mening at all what I do for a living since fragrance are all over in the world. Everywhere in society there are People who have to SCREAM their precense using fragrance and Chemical Products. There is something wrong going around when People have to become sick from others vanity.
Another thing again is the scenting of indoor air. Scent is added to the air by scented cleaning and washing agents, scented candles, inscense, a.s. often used in shops, malls, restaurants and so on. Imagine you want to go out With friends, and you arrive to a Place where everyone else but you can enter. A restaurant visit can be ruined by scented air, and scented air at the toilets. Since the air is scented you can not use the room or the toilet. And at a road trip you can not use the bathroom at the gasoline station since there is mounted a fragrance pump or other scent Device in the toilet room.  To get ill from this is not a joke.
Today there are both unscented Products for clothes and fabrics, house and buildings, body and hair, so why not use it?
I will give you some fresh numbers from WHO. The numbers show that 30 million People in Europe struggle With asthma! That is something for you to think about before you add fragrance to Your person and by doing this destroys the environment for all of those who are sensitive.”

Until now I have never refused anyone to travel, it does not mean I have not suffered, but I have tried to solve it in another way: the window open all year round whatever the weather, hold my breath when someone has anything on themselves that I get sick from and sell tickets like in lightning speed so they can leave and take a seat, and take lots of medication. It’s an unfortunate situation and many may think that I should not work. But I refuse to be home on disability, I refuse to give up. Another job could be as bad because there are perfumed people everywhere in society, and anyone who takes the bus arrives at stores and offices. Jobs in dusty space is not possible. It is easy to believe things about things you know nothing about and there are many places that are not likely to work when you have it like me, I just do the best you can.

Have a Nice day! Go Fragrance Free!

Why do we need fresh air?

I was talking to a person I know very well today that have not been taken care of their asthma lately and had a violent asthma attack yesterday. Too few understand how dangerous this is, that goes both for them who are sick in asthma and those around who have not.

Why do we need fresh air?

About 20 % of inhabitants in society have asthma, and more are getting it from year to year.

When a person having asthma is exposed to allergens and irritants and stuff that the lungs is ill from MUCUS is formed in the lungs and clogs the airways. In addition to the mucus clogging the bronchies (airways in the lungs) cramp due to muscles around the airway cramping making the already mucus filled airways even tighter. This is what makes it hard to breathe. It is also important to note oneself that even insensitive and uncaring behaviour that cause emotional stress to a person having asthma can cause the same Health issue.

This is what happens if a person having asthma is subjected to airborn allergens and irritants, or eating something they get sick from, and it worsen by the hour they are subjected to it.

If the person do not get treatment this is what happen:

1 The asthma attack is sneaking on the person making it hard to breathe until he /she get too little oxygen and ultimately die from it.

2 Have a acute asthma attack that is very violent, with violent coughing, violent breathing problems, muscle cramps and ace, it is easy to spot and in the long run just as deadly. Often you can not stand up straight because you cough so violently.

3 A combination of the two above.

4 Anaphylactic shock. Death comes quickly.

So before you say “take a pill” and “let me smoke and fragrance in Peace”, give us fresh air. That is what we need!

Clean your toilet

Everyone need to clean the WC once in a while, and for someone having ashtma and being sensitive to Chemicals and perfume it can be a Challenge. Since all of those Products evaporates gasses holding Chemicals triggering asthma one get sick from the experience cleaning a toilet.

Online in a fora for MCS I expressed my problem and asked for a tip what to use instead, since there are no alternative Products for toilets I can use.

And one MCS girl came With a wonderful solution. She said only use fragrance free detergent and clean the toilet With. And I tried it, and it Works perfectly!

The powder in the detergent Works like a charm scrubbing the inside of the toilet and cleaning it, and leaves a shiny inside.

So next time you need to clean Your toilet use a fragrance free Asthma and Allergy Association approved detergent to clean Your WC and you will have no asthma problems.

Vulnerable

In moments of gratitude of having found a place in the world where I at last have very little asthma symptoms, I think what if it would change? What if something or someone came and change the situation?

I remember a few years ago when the situation was worse. I was sick every day of the week, several times a day.

That scares me. I had it terrible.

I wish to have a good and healthy life.

I wish too be able to go on having as good health as I have now, being able to avoid most of what irritates my lungs, being surrounded by people that actually take notice of my needs.

It is better now than it was before.

Camping and Asthma

Vacation, Wildlife, fresh air, a lot of Things to see, friends to visit, and many days off from work. Last year I bought a camping wagon. Nothing very fancy, it is old but in rather good condition. Camping life should be gold for someone  having asthma, and many times and situations it is. I have been  rarely ill this vacation. I have been travelliing alone, camping and enjoying the free days doing whatever I want.

It have been wonderful, and I have had a great Health most of the time. Unfortunately when you are camping it is not possible to always Control the ennvironment you are in. And now I come to the issue for this blog entry.

Going camping in a trailer and going many Places you come and meet many People and Places. You are out of Your safe environment where you can predict the risks.

I have been to restaurants and diners and have eaten wonderful meals, but then I have had been forced to use the ladies room after. Going different Places there are different toilets and surroundings. After the meal, feeling content and happy, I go to the WC like most People need to.

Well in there, in the need we all know so well, I feel the scent spreading in the toilet room and look up the wall under the ceiling and there is the fragrance pump mounted on the wall or any other fragrance giver to the air. As any other person I need to do my buisness but often have to choose between doing my arrend or have an asthma attack. That ladies and gentlement is a crap alternative to choose from. Do it in Your pants or get sick?

Well you see the Picture.

The smell hell – the fragrance pollution of the air. I think it should be fordidden With such fragrancers in Public rooms, or is the Public room only for those without asthma?

During a camping holiday you also encounters camping sites. You pay for the camping spot with electricity and get Access to shower, Kitchen, washing clothes, emptying Your camper toilet, a.s. I do not always use camping sites, but when I do I often encounter the problem using the fellow rooms: shower, kitchen, washing room and possible tv-room if there is one. And why? Well, it is because I can not use or be subjected to any fragranced products, fragrance candles, insence and such without getting breathing problems. At a camping there are other People. Not that I mind Meeting others, that is Nice, but they use fragrance, non true hypoallergenic products safe for asthma, and their fumes are spread in the shower, WC room, kitchen, washing room and so on. People showering in the fragrance products washing their hair and body in it, washing their clothes, drying them in a dryer, washing up the dishes in Products threatening to asthma, and styling their hair With “poisoning” hairstyling Products, and also the camping putting fragranced candles, airfresheners, and fragrance soap for all  to use. All of it gassing off in the air we all shall be able to Breathe. Result is that I who have also paid for being able to be there have to run out of there and inhale asthma medicine. Their fumes force me away.

And also in WC room there are WC Blocks perfuming the air, and hand soap fragranced and impossible for me to use.

I wish from all who have a camping, restaurant, diner, petrol station and so on letting customers come or camp With them:

PLEASE! Have fragrance and color free asthma and allergy friendly Products for use for all at Your buisness or camping. Please, let People buy fragrance free washing powder and softener, have fragrance free washing up Liquid and have schampo, conditioner and shower cream installed. Include it in the price. And cut the airfresheners and fragrance pumps, it is air pollution. It would be som much easier for all of us. Think of that there are 300 million People having asthma in the world and many of them visit Your buisness or camping.

You do want the best for ALL Your customers, don’t you?

Thank you

The Sympathetic smoker

(Scroll down for English)

A sympathetic smoker

Today I had some day, my colleague’s bus did not start and he had to take my bus, and since there were no extra bus available I had none. We called for taxi for help, and they came in a minibus. Since he didn’t know the tour I drove in my car in front of him to lead the way. He took on the passengers.

At 0804 we had to make a little stop to wait for the clock to turn 0810 before he could continue to pick up the students.

While waiting there at the bus stop we got out of the vehicles and talked. He lights a cigarette.

And I who have asthma starts on the little dance trying to stay out of the smoke, moving away from him to avoid it. And as most people when you move away they move closer. So like that we “danced” back and forward a bit, until I had to tell him to please not move closer since I try to keep away from his smoke since I have asthma.

– Oh, is it that little needed to make you sick? he said.

– Yes I replied.

Then he voluntarily took the cigarette and tossed it, with a smile.

That ladies and gentlemen is a
Sympathetic smoker.

That is how everyone should behave around sensitive persons, either it is smoke, fragrance or something else.

Thank you for being a Sympathetic smoker.

Producers logics

When talking to manufacturers of consumer products like cleaning products, washing products and air fragrance one get amazed about their logics. They very much like to claim their products are safe so they ensure the consumers they are safe to buy their products.

In a discussion With the Norwegian company Lilleborg at their Facebook page Lilleborg Roadshow I found this statement:

 Lilleborg Roadshow Friday 10 May 2013 12:02
“We record huge commitment of a few individuals around perfume. This discussion is not new, Lilleborg has repeatedly been in contact with the same people, and we wish here to reiterate our view: We focus strongly that our products are safe to use. We are subject to stringent regulations which set clear requirements for what ingredients we can use and we have a strong focus on consumer safety when developing new and existing products. In order to meet consumer desires, we offer products both with and without perfume. We spend considerable resources with market research to ensure that our products meet consumer needs at all times. We use the equivalent of resources in product development to ensure safe, quality products according to a very extensive regulations that are harmonized with European legislation. ”

My comment on it to Lilleborg: “If you are so keen on that your products are safe then I wonder why for example Jif Baderom contain fragrances and Chemicals that the HSE (Health Safety and Environment) data say is allergenic for sensitive individuals. That is if you have hereditary history of allergy either you know it or not you can get allergy outbreak using it. But You tell nothing about this at the bottle when you buy it in the store. To know about the allergy risk you must have the safety data sheet and read the very finely tuned text. You know it contains perfumes that are allergenic but you do not stop using it. It is irresponsible if you ask me. You expose customers and their users to the risk of allergy and claim that you care about the safety of their customers. This I want a good explanation to. ”

To the fact: I am one of those who have used this JIF Baderom toilet cleaning spray and have gotten allergies. We used it at work. And after getting sick I read all the fine print about all the products we used at work in the safety data sheet and found that JIF Baderom is not safe! I have the safety data sheet at home. Those data sheet information you do not get as a private person shopping in the grocery store A product one can get allergies from or that make asthma break out is not safe. That is pure and clear logic. I find this way of thinking of the manufacturers are fantastic! As long as they can claim the Law say it is ok to use the content, even when they know it can cause allergy, they continue using it.

They know it is not safe, and still they state to all consumers they care about their safety. I find it stupid, arrogant and uncaring. What do you think?

Workers day 1 of May – Fresh air for all!

(Scroll Down for English)

Even sensitive People must Breathe

I would like to take a moment on all workers day 1 of May to say something about work environment and air environment as a whole.

For many who have allergies, asthma and other respiratory diseases, MCS and other sensitivity it is very important to deliver indoor air that is not polluted. Mostly people think of exhaust from cars, mold and cigarette smoke and the like as such, and most countries have been accepted it as indoor pollution. It is also important to include pollution of any kind of fragrance, incense and other chemical content to the category of pollution. We must deliver fragrance-free and chemical-free environment. Just as tobacco smoke and exhaust from cars, so exhaust perfume and other chemical products and their chemicals is spread to the air we all must breathe.

Everyone has the right to be as healthy as possible.

A person exposed to such chemicals can actually be unable to Access or remain in the environment and therefore unable particiipate, be unfortunate to be forced to go on sick leave and possibly even worse forced on disability Retirement. This is unfortunate both for the person who is sensitive, but is also unfortunate to the state as a person who works contributes more to GDP, whereas a person on social security costs money. It also has a social aspect to the individual sensitive. A sensitive person may be excluded from participation in society because of others affectation with scents of gases into the air, like the smoke we do not currently allow.

And this is very easy to do something about.

A person sensitive to such chemicals is sound in an environment with fresh air without this exposure.

To by Law provide a working environment and any other environment where the public have access, without this exposure of fragrance and other chemical gases into the air so that these individuals are healthy. Then they can participate and can work. They are less on sick leave and can be more active.

Being sensitive to chemicals is an invisible handicap. We help the blind, hearing, mobility, mentally handicaped and else disabled people in the world. It’s time we help those who have invisible disabilities sensitivity.

It can be as simple as

Make and grant a law that prevents the use of scent in products both in the workplace and applied to those in the workplace. And I want this to apply to all areas where the public has access. Here I talk a Law that forbid all use of fragrance products at all and at any time. This is because the health of these people sick from chemical exposure and fragrance is not limited to the workplace. Sensitive individuals  also need tobreathe, and they do it everywhere just like everyone else. By supplying fresh air to all the sickness go down, and those who otherwise have difficulty functioning in a polluted environment will be able to be self-sufficient and not live off the state.
