Folk ser astma som triviell og overser risikoen for død – People see asthma as trivial and overlooking the potential it has to kill

People see asthma as trivial and overlooking the potential it has to kill

“Writing in the journal Archives of Disease in Childhood, the two respiratory doctors from Imperial College and the Royal Brompton Hospital in London acknowledge that asthma can be a fatal condition that was once not being diagnosed enough.

They argue the pendulum has now swung too far the other way – with over-diagnosis resulting in some people seeing asthma as a trivial matter and overlooking the potential it has to kill.”

This is something I have meant in many years, people have a setting to asthma as there are some slight cold or cough, they do not realize that asthma is a serious lung disease that is not to underestimate the seriousness of. One should take it seriously and you should show respect and care to those who have asthma.

Disabled and managing

A inspiration and a thruth forward bringing experience

I today saw this video about a girl named Jen who dispite her disability broke though. She is a fantastic girl and a real inspiration for all with handicaps. But not all with handicaps are as lucky to be able to break through their handicap. People with lung diseases have a handicap. No, you say? Well, they have. The definition of a handicap is

Lung diseases such as asthma among other, allergies, and other sensitivities is a handicap. How so? A handicap is defined:

“According to the Norwegian public reports,” NOU 2005: 8 of equality and accessibility. Legal protection against discrimination on grounds of disability. Defined disability as “Disability occurs when there is a gap between the individual’s abilities and design or function in surroundings / environment / buildings.” “

So when the indoor air is polluted by fragrance, scent, chemicals and other pollutants the room is no longer accessable.

So why this comparation with the persons with disability moving? First I have to say I do NOT say it is a easy life having no legs, have problem walking or lacking any lim and being disabled that way, They can many times (even if not everyone) get around it using a chair, or other help and pure will.  I do see it can be a real problem having such disability. But for people with the disability lung disease is are handicaped in a way crusual for organs crusual for living. When you pollute the air we all shall breathe it makes the room unaccessable and we can not just jump around to get over it.

Some would say it is only to put on a mask. But there is a big problem with that. What if one need to eat, drink, or talk with someone? If you remove your mask you are not protected anymore.

This is a really truly ispiring girl and she is worth all the praise she can get, and I am glad for her that she found her sister and did so well in her sport.

I just want to put everything in perspective to make you see that even if some handicaps are relatively easy to overcome, not all are and sometimes you have to give to make it possible for others to join. Please go fragrane free, smoke free and vaping free so all with lung diseases and senstivities can jump too.

And if you get provoced by this, try to walk a mile in our shoes.

To take the bus is like russian roulette – Kicki Djärv – vk.se

(Scroll down for English)

When the health do not tolerate what is in the air

“Bus travel is a gamble, Kiki Bold must always be prepared to get off. Theatre is futile and before each water aerobics session she keeps fingers crossed that no overdosed hairspray. Kiki has asthma and allergy and perfume makes her sick. We’ll meet at home in Kickis apartment in Ålidhem and I really have thought me this morning. The most cans and bottles I have in my bathroom contains perfumes of any kind; shampoo, soap, lotion, deodorant and hair spray. I try to make myself as “fragrance free” as possible, but it does not really. For Kiki reacts to rinse agent that remain in my shirt. Although it affects breathing, I know that it will pass. The difficulty is that it is built on. It may be fine for a while, but becomes the several doses I become sick in the end. I do not understand why there has to be perfume in just about everything. Detergent for example, I can not even go into the laundry room and my husband have to run three empty machines to remove all detergent and fabric softener residue. I can ride the bus, but stepping it on something that has a lot of perfume on themselves, I have to get off. Bio runs decently if we sit in the back of the chairs where there is little distance to the next line, but the theater is not to my great sorrow. I have tried many times. For some reason, “spraying” the people a little extra when they should be at the theater. I can not even stand in the foyer. I can not breathe.” vk.se

Very many are sick from your perfume use, not only from what you spray on you or put on your face and armpits, but also of the products you use that contain perfume. Show respect to those who are struggling, use perfume free products.

Only the lungs work

Pulmonary Doctor at Haukeland University Hospital, Ove Funds, says that when we sleep we get poorer control of breath.

Regulation in the brain is a little weaker than usual, especially during certain stages of sleep. In deep sleep there is almost no other muscles but those around the lungs in the body works, says the doctor.

Spray tan is harmful – nrk.no

“Spraytan can be hazardousScientists warn: Frequent use increases the risk of lung cancer.

Many people use spraytanning in Norway, probably because of cancer risks associated with tanning. Now it turns out that the way to get the color nor is completely harmless.

U.S. scientists warn of increased risk of lung cancer due to spraytanning.

Lynn Goldman, dean of the School of Public Health and Health Services at George Washington University in Washington DC, says she is very concerned about the potential lung cancer risk.

Harmful breathing

The main active ingredient in self-tanning creams are dihydroxiaceton (DHA ), a sugar that is also part of human metabolism. It is precisely this drug is dangerous to inhale.

– The lungs have a large surface, as this drug enters the cells and is taken up into the blood stream, said lung specialist Rey Panettieri at the Perelman School of Medicine in Pennsylvanial.

DHA can damage the DNA material of the body. It can cause cancer and serious lung disease, as well as aggravate asthma and other respiratory problems.”

I HAVE TO NOTE YOU THIS. I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS MYSELF. I HAVE NEVER USED SPRAYTAN. I ONLY TAKE THE WORD FOR IT. Reason I have not used it is I am not interested in such, and also it is not a possibility for me to even try it since it is airborn and one have to inhale it. Logic says it is bad news, so I have never tried. According to the article I am right.
On top of it, it do not look very natural. I believe natural is best.http://www.nrk.no/livsstil/spraytan-kan-vaere-helsefarlig-1.8200521

#Evaluation of #IndoorAir

“No evaluation of indoor air quality and its impact on health can be complete without considering the effects of the widespread of fragrance in multiple products used on a daily basis in homes, workspaces, and other public places. The ubiquitous exposure to poorly studied fragrance chemicals has resulted in escalating voluntary and involuntary exposures to unknown substances which contrary to public assumption, have not been evaluated by regulatory agencies for safety to the general public, children, the elderly, and other sensitive populations. Exposure starts before birth from fragrance chemicals in mothers’ bodies (1) and continues with ingestion of mother’s milk. (2) Products for infants and children are scented often with materials known to cause allergies (3) and persist in body tissues. Children and infants are also exposed to every scented product used in the household. An infant held close is breathing in fragrance from clothes washed in highly scented detergents and laundry products, perfumes and colognes, shampoo, and other scented products used by the caregiver transferring to the child’s skin, hair, and clothes. Exposure continues throughout life. Users of scented products are often not aware of the continued presence of the products they use and are rarely aware of the intensity of the scents.” Continue reading
