So dangerous is your detergent

So dangerous is your detergent

Your soap can cause allergies .

“Over half of the laundry products Asthma and Allergy Denmark tested for BT, contain substances that can cause allergies. Every time you wash your clothes clean, you risk that the perfumes, dyes and preservatives sits in your blouses, pants and linens, which can give you or your child allergies. It is a big problem faced by many is not enough attention to explaining technical director of the Asthma and Allergy Denmark. – If you for example. both wear clothes washed in scented detergent and sleap in perfume washed linens so your skin is exposed to allergens 24 hours a day, and it’s certainly not good if you want to avoid allergies or irritation,Asthma and Allergy Denmark says. You are allergic to a substance by come into contact with it. Fragrances for example. penetrate the skin and activate certain cells of the immune system. You may not notice anything at first contact. However, the more your skin is exposed to allergens , the greater the risk for allergies. The allergy can occur suddenly , even if you wash your clothes in the same product for years. Do you also use problematic creams, cosmetics and cleaning products , the risk is even greater. In many people and producers (un)consciousness is fragrance equal to that something is clean. But perfumes are without function in the solution in addition to smell and cause allergies, says the Asthma and Allergy Denmark and tells that also dyes, optical brighteners / bleach and some preservatives can be problematic in relation to allergy. Asthma and Allergy Denmark explains that it is not enough to go for eco-labels as such.  Swan-labeled detergents may well contain perfume and certain dyes.

Asthma and Allergy Denmark recommends that you stay away from products in the test has been a sour smiley, in order to avoid allergies.”

Neutral Wool, Silk, down, and fine wash product, 0% fragrance, 0% color give no asthma reaction and therefore whitelisted.

I recommend this one. This product do its job very well, and also give no allergic or asthma reaction.

About the test
This is a pure inhale test of the products. I test the products on my self. This is a real life asthma product suitability test done at home in real life settings. I am my own guinea pig. Whitelisted products should be safe for you to use. But as with all sensitivities some are more sensitive than others, always try new products with care. Make the first time trying it gently, if you got a skin condition try it on a small area, and washing agents on a hidden area or a cloth you can afford to waste.

My lungs are very picky when it comes to hygiene products, beauty products, hair products, washing and cleaning products and so on. Products not meeting the standards of no asthma reaction are blacklisted.

Please, buy such items whitelisted as gifts for friends and family. They are designed and made for a better personal health and are more environmentally beneficial than the fragrances ones. Use them yourself, care about your fellow-man. Do not make other people sick with your fragrance presence.

I was not paid to try this product out.

Tested: Milo Wool and Silk wash – Whitelisted

In contrast to the old classic pink asthma bomb bottle of Milo Wool and Silk, this blue bottle of fragrance free Milo Wool and Silk works very good.

The lid is easy to open, and no asthma reaction to the product. Can only get a whitelist.

Actually Well done Lilleborg! You usually get a lot of yelling from me, but with this product you have done something nice for us all.

Warning! Update March 2016

Note! This product contains Methylisothiazolione (MI) that can cause skin allergies and severe reactions. If you have sensitive skin and allergies I would rather recommend you to use Neutral Ull og Finvask for wool and fine fabric.

Saving on kitchen supplies

A washing up brush does not cost a fortune, however you can save money and make it last longer if you put it in the dishwasher machine once a week. It is also much more hygienic and you are in less risk of contamination.

That also goes for your kitchen cloth you wipe tables and counters with. Put it in your washing machine!
